GDE OTM March

I was so excited when my Glamour Doll Eyes Of The Month arrived! (I have mine delivered to my office). Before I opened it, I had a feeling that it was going to be green in honor of St. Patrick's Day. I was correct! Inside was an awesome bright green with yellow shimmer. PERFECT color!!! I can't wait to wear it this weekend! Also included was a special added little bonus. We got a lip tint from Kiss My Sass cosmetics! Mine was in the color "Georgia Kiss". It is a pretty peachy pink color. And it smells DELICIOUS!!!!!!! Definitely an awesome one this month! American Idol...thoughts so far

I was never a huge Idol fan till they changed up the judges. Last year I would watch every episode religiously and talk about it nonstop. With Mike being so far away from me, it is hard for me to keep motivated to watch. But even though we are miles and miles away, we share our thoughts via text during the whole show. So here it goes...

My picks for the win are Skylar and Colton. And Heejun.

All of the other girls, except maybe Erika, SUCK. All of the other guys are boring. I am so over gospel and soul and that style of music.

Mike loves Phillip Phillips. It's no surprise considering he is like Dave Matthews' little brother (not literally).

Tonight is elimination, and I don't want to give anything away...

But I'll leave you with this hilarious quote from Mike: "Can I vote Mary j off too?"

Lights! Teeth! Action!

Monday night I went to see my favorite recording artist, Lights, in dc at the 9:30 club. The show was incredible. I was blown away by the overall atmosphere and fans. This time, unlike the past 6 (yes, 6) shows I have been to, I stayed by the bar, and avoided battling the uber fans near the front of the stage. I went with my friend Brian. It was his first Lights show. And he loved it. Lives are changed at her shows, and his was for sure!!! I wish I could relive that night over and over.

Tuesday's trip to the dentist was no fun at all. Though the atmosphere and staff were amazing, the results were not. Cavities in 5 different teeth! Ouch! I had to schedule 2 trips to get fillings so my whole mouth isn't numb and I don't bite my tongue on accident. Plus, my teeth grinding issue has resulted in a custom night guard. Good times.

Busy days are coming up in the office, which means less time for posting blogs and videos. But I will try.

DOOTD: concert attire

Since I am off to DC tonight to see my favorite artist, lights, I decided to create a Dream Outfit Of The Day (DOOTD) look on polyvore.com inspired by her. I will be wearing something similar to this look tonight. Lights is often seen in skinny jeans, boots, and a plaid shirt.

neutral glitter look

This has become my go to look for work lately. It is neutral and conservative, yet I add a little bit of glam with the glitter liner. It is quick and does not require a lot of different products.

Products used:
GDE Twi Shadows in "family secret"
naked2 "tease"
L'oreal infallible 24hr eye shadow "iced latte"
LA Splash liquid eyeliner "pink sparkles"
Physicians Formula custom eye enhancing gel creamliner "blue eyes"
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner "zero"
Maybelline illegal lengths mascara
NYX round lipstick in "Strawberry Milk"

I used Family Secret and my under the eyebrow highlight color and highlight in the inner corners of my eye. Tease is my crease color. My all over lid color is Iced Latte. (Those shadows are so smooth and amazing color payoff) I lined my eyes with the black from the cream liner trio on my upper lashline. Above that, I used the pink sparkles liquid liner to add some sparkle. (this stuff takes a minute to dry, so don't open your eyes wide yet). Zero is in my water line, and 2 coats of mascara on my top and bottom lashes.

I hope you try it out! You dont need the exact products to create a similar look. And you can try a brighter lipstick with the look because it is so neutral. In the daytime use a nude or light pink color, and at night, hot pink or red. Revlon lip butters are my favorite!

unofficial apartment tour

Let me just start off by saying that I am so excited about my new place! I am still in the process of decorating and making it really my own. Being stuck in a roommate situation for so long, I feel as though I lost part of my identity and turned into a recluse. I am so happy to be on my own! I hope you enjoy!!!

80's Barbie look

The other day I felt inspired to use some of my favorite Glamour Doll Eyes products and do something that I can't normally do while at work. (I work in an office and have to maintain a "professional" image). So this is what I came up with.

I used the NYX shimmer on my lid. Family Secret is my highlight color under my eyebrows. Recruit is my top eyeliner and bird?plane? is my bottom lash liner color. Zero in my waterline. My crease shadow color is Tease. (my favorite crease color no matter what the rest of my shadow colors are).
