Last night as I was pondering what color to paint my nails, I looked at my rack of polishes and this one stood out. I was in the mood for blues...and I have a LOT of them. This one is very Spring-y and just all around awesome. It's called "Lapis of Luxury" by Essie. I purchased it at Ulta a LONG time ago. Actually, I think it was probably one of my first Ulta purchases. I am not sure if this color is part of any kind of collection. It was with all of the other Essie colors, and not on an endcap. Let me know what you think of this color :)

Aloha!

On Tuesday, our company had its annual award party/luncheon. Basically a day to go over everything that has happened in the past year. Numbers, stats, and what the future will be like. Whenever this group gets together, it gets crazy! There are awards for most spirited, so we basically scream and make noise for hours. Its awesome. Downside? Waking up sore the next day from clapping and ears ringing. Then there is always the after party :)

This year's theme was "Catch A Wave" aka Hawaii/beach/lifeguards/Gilligan's Island. Our office opted for these crazy bright shirts, picked out be me (naturally). We all looked awesome. I also took it as an opportunity to wear some of my brighter eyeshadow. I wanted to go for a "sunset" look. I used my Sugerpill "Bleeding Hearts" pallet, and GDE "Sterling Glitz" for highlight colors. I also tried out my new Marshmallow shimmer powder from Urban Decay, basically all over me.


I had a blast! I cant wait for the next company event!!!!

eBay, peiwei, and sleep-ay

Yeah I couldn't resist all of these rhyming words lol. I am, in fact, very sleep today. Having 3 days off in a row of fun and sleeping in is great till you have to get up early and go to work again. I am excited for our company event tomorrow, which is basically like a day where we dress up crazy, yell really loud, get free lunch, and listen to numbers and information about how we did as a whole company last year. Should be a lot of fun.

I just ate my leftover Pei Wei chicken fried rice for lunch. Mmmm so good! I wish I had more though :/

I have been selling stuff on eBay like crazy! It's gotten to the point now where I need money quick to buy a new car, so I am selling everything I don't need. I have so many tv shows on DVD that I've only watched once. It's dumb to keep them all. So off they go into the loving arms of some other person, and their money goes in a special "new car fund" box in my room. At this rate, I should have the car end of May. I am praying for some miracle money to enter in my life right about now. It wouldn't hurt to ask God to help me out. He always comes through for me :)

So much fun I had today!

So my bff from back home, Tia, came to visit me for the day. And of course, we went shopping :) I wasn't planning on buying much, but I picked up a few good things.

First stop was Love Culture, and that was a bust. So then we went to XXI aka Forever 21. And I scored a few good things. I tried on a ton of clothes, and hated them all. I grabbed this sweater last minute. And a scarf and 2 belts.



Then we went to the mac store quickly so I could pick up viva glam nicki. The chick at the store was super snobby and mean. If only she knew...




Then we went to Charming Charlie. And again, I wasn't planning on buying anything. I was jokingly trying on all these different sandals. Then I tried on a pair that I fell in love with. So I had to get them.


We ran into Victoria's Secret because they were having 7 for $26 panties. No need to show you which ones I got.


And then we went to lunch at PF Changs. I got chicken fried rice. MMM...And we split lettuce wraps. I could eat those every day!

Lastly, we stopped in Ulta. Again, not planning on buying anything. I only got 3 things, which is good for me LOL. I spotted these colorful fake nails, and had to get them. And I also got some clips to put my hair up so I can style it easier. I bought the Urban Decay Marshmellow shimmer powder just for fun. It looks so pretty on and smells yummy.




I had a really awesome day with Tia! It was exactly what I needed for the "blues" I have been having lately.

1. I used to collect celebrity barbie dolls. I have Aaron Carter, Vitamin C, a few Britney Spears, Clueless, Spice Girls, New Kids On The Block, 90210 (the original), Mary-Kate and Ashley, and so many more!
2. I don't drink a lot of alcohol, but when I do, it's raspberry Woodchuck...or margaritas on the rocks with salt.
3. My goal in life is to make my parents happy, and also to be known by the whole world one way or another.
4. I didn't get my driver's license till I was 20. Just because I didn't want to drive.
5. I have a bachelor's degree in Fashion Design and Merchandising, and a minor in Spanish.
6. I really don't like country music, but if I was ever a music artist, I would probably choose country as my genre because I sing it well.
7. Someday I hope to marry the love of my life, Mike. I wouldn't mind having a couple of little mini mes either.
8. I used to have a chocolate lab named Vinny. He passed away a few months ago due to lymphoma. I still cry when I think of him. He was my everything.

10. I hate cooking, mostly because it takes too long to prepare food. When I do cook, I make really good food.

Harvest Moon

This color sounds like it belongs in a Twilight collection instead of Hunger Games. LOL. The name doesn't even matter because this is one of the most amazing bronze/copper colors! And I don't own anything even remotely close to it in color, which makes this purchase definitely worth it!

When this color is in natural light, there are shimmers and sparkles that show up that are incredible!

I love this color! I even did my daily makeup based on the nail color...but I look awful, so don't judge LOL.


I used the Maybelline 24 hr color ink tattoo color in "Bad to the Bronze", as well as some GDE shadows for highlighting.

dermstore haul unboxing

So when I got my myGlam box this month, it came with a $25 off of a $50 purchase from dermstore.com. And you know me, I could NOT pass that up! My initial reaction was to get some Paul and Joe cosmetics, but they are EXPENSIVE!!! (and what i wanted was out of stock) Then I noticed that they had Philosophy brand on there, so I purchased a fragrance that I have been wanting for a while, but couldn't justify spending the money on.


You can get the perfume by . It smells wonderful and fruity and perfect for spring!

I also got a lipstick from a brand I have never heard of before called VMV Hypoallergenics. I was intrigued by the brand and the fact that i have crappy allergies. So I picked this velvet matte lipstick in "bikini machine". I love the color and the way it looks on my lips.




They also included a bag of sample products, which I LOVE. I hate having to buy products to try them out and realize I hate them. Hopefully the ones they sent are good.



Overall, I had a good experience with dermstore.com. The shipping was pretty fast. I may order from there again, but the prices are kind of high. Check it out.

SOTD: Kerli "Zero Gravity"

I have been waiting FOREVER for this single to be released. I absolutely adore Kerli. Her Bubble Goth style is awesome. And her songs are super catchy. This song is probably the best one she has ever released! And the video is weird, but I am loving the costumes and makeup (Future tutorial coming soon)

Trying something new

I decided to be daring and venture into the healthy chip aisle of wegmans. Yes, healthy chips seems to be like an oxymoron, but that section does exist. And it's chock full of weird flavors. I decided to pick up the Terra Cotta "sweets and beets" sweet potato and beet chips. I have to say, these are some of the best damn chips I've ever had! They almost taste like burned sweet potato fries. Yum. I could probably eat the whole bag, but that defeats the purpose of then being healthy.

Try them out!!!! You'll be surprised how good they are!

Good morning all! Today I am showing off the amazing GDE shadows I got the other day. I am also rocking a sweet red hoodie and my favorite new shoes-my Sperrys!!!

Days off are my favorite because I get the chance to be more dramatic with makeup and I get to wear comfortable clothes. I kind of shy away from the trendy stuff unless I know I am going to see friends or doing something specific. Today, I am going to see my girl Mahsa at Ulta to get my hair cut and colored. (So this is the before of my hair)

DOOTD: aria

So Aria is my favorite of the girls from Pretty Little Liars. After writing my blog, I started thinking about all of the outfits I love that Aria wears. This look was created using Polyvore (therefore, I do not know where the items come from). I love going on there and just playing around with everything and making outfits. got a secret. can you keep it? (spoiler alert)

It should be no surprise that Pretty Little Liars is one of my favorite shows. It has all of my favorite things in one show: teen drama, fashion, and a crazy killer. With this season coming to an end, I have my thoughts and wanted to share my theories of how I think the show is going to go.


****WARNING!!!!! SPOILERS!!!!!!!!!!!*****************





Okay so if you are completely clueless, or if you have just started watching, there is this mysterious "A" that sends the 4 main girls creepy text messages and threatens them to do things that they normally wouldn't to destroy their own lives as well as their loved ones. So for the past 3 seasons, we have all been wondering, WHO IS A????????? And it gets so frustrating because each episode they make it seem like it is a different person. Well last night, they revealed who "A" is...

Mona is definitely one of the people that I had thought could've been A. Afterall, she was one of Allison's victims of bullying. She also had an in with the girls being Hannah's best friend and all. She just doesn't seem smart enough or even strong enough to pull off killing Ian and some of the other awful things that happened. She also mentioned "Team A" so there is a chance that A is more than one person. Which leads me to my first theory...

1. Team A consists of: Mona, Jenna, Lucas, and Dr. Sullivan.
It makes sense that they would all team up and go after the girls considering they were all bullied by Allison. Lucas did most of the physical labor. Dr. Sullivan is the adult of the group. Mona is able to know the girls on a personal level. Jenna is the mastermind behind it all.

2. Team A consists of: Melissa, Garrett, Jenna, Ian. This would make the most sense because they were all seen on the video that is on Spencer's laptop. (I hate that damn laptop. It always shows up every episode with something different on it)

3. Team A consists of: Allison herself, and Mona. Afterall, we never did see Ally's body after she was found dead. And it could've been a stand in that she herself killed.

4. A could also be Ally's long lost brunette twin sister?

5. Where is Jason?!?!? He is suddenly not around anymore?

6. I always suspected Spencer as being the real A. I imagine her being schizophrenic and not remembering what she does and her dad covers up with her by paying people off and lying to her. What ever happened to the field hockey stick theory?

7. WTF is up with Toby? He is so mopey and is always cleaning up at Allison's house. I thought Jason fired him?

8. Is Melissa really pregnant? What if it is a fake belly and she is fooling all of us?

9. Okay and creepy boy at the doll store...can we PLEASE find more out about that?!? That night I had some messed up dreams. Creepy kids=nightmares.

10. How can they possibly continue the show if we know who A is? They cant. Which means Mona is just one of the master plan.

I am pretty much waiting in HUGE anticipation for this summer when the season starts again. I am addicted. I love that my mom watches it too. Oh, and my favorite character is Aria. I also like Hannah because of her fashion sense. HATE Spencer. And Emily is boring and forgettable. My favorite guy on the show is Caleb. All of the other guys look the same, and he adds diversity. I wish Mr. Fitz would just GO AWAY! Aria can do better. I don't see why she is so in love with the guy. Oh well. Whatever.

So if you don't watch it already, start from the beginning. You will LOVE it, and become hooked fast. Pretty Little Liars in on ABC Family Monday nights at 9:00PM.

Hello all! As soon as I heard my girl's over at Glamour Doll Eyes were doing a sale on sample items for March (limited coupon codes available) I knew I had to get one it! There are a couple of colors I have wanted, and haven't had a chance to get them yet. And sample size is def enough for me (considering my large amount of cosmetics). So here are a few pictures of what I got. Sorry, no swatches. I did wear "Sterling Glitz" as a highlight color today, and I am in LOVE. I may even like it more than *gasps* "Family Secret". I also more "Graves In May" today too, and it was so pretty!!!

A healthy start

So I went to Wegmans, my favorite grocery store, today and picked up some healthy food items. I am recently loving the Special K cracker chips. They are on sale 2 for $5, so I got 2 boxes in different flavored. So far, cheddar cheese is my favorite. I also picked up the special K cereal in oats and honey. It is a lot better for you than the kashi cereal, and it seems like it is a similar flavor. Can you sense a theme? I also am loving the special k chocolate pretzel bars for snacking. I got some more lettuce for salads and lite Caesar dressing too.

Tonight for dinner I made ham and cheese croissants. They were delish! (picture coming later)

going green

Well, it's St. Patrick's Day, and I guess this is pretty much the extent of me being festive. I usually don't do anything for this "holiday", but my sister invited me to go see her play this evening, so I decided to look cute. But with my own little twist.

On My face...

Nothing too crazy, because I had to wear it to work all day too. So a hint of the green eyeshadow was classy but festive.

Last night I went to forever21 and scored a pair of mint green skinny pants for $15.80!!!! I decided they would be perfect for tonight. They have already become too big in the last hour of wearing them, but shrinking them in the wash is a MUST. I am wearing them rolled up with my black Steve Madden oxford shoes. And a simple long sleeve black tee. My necklace was a gift from my sister. It is a Hunger Games theme necklace she made for me. And my earrings are from forever21.

So I guess the very small fraction of Irish in me says, Happy St. Patrick's Day!

DOOTD: spring

I love playing around on polyvore.com. I made this outfit just now.



I was feeling inspired by the amazing sunny day today. This is an outfit that I could definitely see myself wearing. While wearing this outfit, I imagine myself with the windows down in my car driving home to WV...or possibly sitting by my window on my futon reading a book.

The whole look and feel also reminds me of one of my favorite bands, Owl City.



Oh yeah...and the best part of this video is that Lights is the cute girl at the store that he is crushing on. Love it.

dress me up

I was feeling like a pretty girl today. So when I woke up I decided, you know what? I'll dye my blonde streak light pink. So I did. It was kind of a quick, half assed attempt, but next time will be better.



Crazy angle, I know. But I wanted to show the streak in its entirety. It's fun and sassy. And temporary. I love my hair because I can hide that spot if I need to. Mostly when my hair is straight.



I also was kind of in a fun eye makeup mood. Plus I keep seeing those little square ads on the side of facebook and stuff showing the Maybelline color tattoo colors. And I have all of them. I wanted to use a couple today. AND use some of my GDE stuff too. So here is what I came up with...

So yesterday we had an event after work for our residents. (I work in property management) Anywho, I decided I wanted to look awesome, and I did :)

On My Face:
